Dr. Görkem Özgen graduated from Hacettepe University Faculty of Medicine in 1998. He completed his General Surgery residency training in Istanbul University, Istanbul School of Medicine, Department of General Surgery in 2005. Between 2005-2006, he fulfilled his military service as  Lieutenant Dr. at Sivas Military Hospital. After returning to Istanbul, he worked at International Hospital, Acıbadem Maslak Hospital, American Hospital, Koç University Hospital and İstinye University Hospital, respectively. As of April 2017, he accepts patients in his own practice. Special fields of interest are morbid obesity, abdominal wall hernias and anorectal diseases (hemorrhoidal disease, anal fissure-fistula). Dr. Özgen speaks English and French. He is married and father of two children.
